Slopes
Trick master, speed guy, sun worshiper or the first time ever in the big slope. Ritavalkea Ski Centre guarantee a fun day in the slopes for the whole family and skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Here the day in the snow goes playfully and often a bit too fast. Luckily it is easy to return to to Lapland’s most enjoyable ski centre again.
Ritavalkea’s slopes are suitable both for beginners and families. The profile of the slopes enables skiing that feels safe and the learning can happen almost by itself. For children there is also a child’s slope with its own lift, where both children and adults safely can practice how to ski or snowboard.
In Ritavalkea ski centre’s Tazza Snowpark there are up to date boxes, rails, presses and a corner, where you can fine-tune your skills.
For the smallest in the family there is the “Lumipörrö” sled slope, located beside the café. The ski centre has it’s own mascot “Lumipörrö”, which is on adventures here and there, and joins the different happenings during the winter season.
The ski slopes are a short distance from the centre of Pello. Ritavalkea has all together five slopes 800-1000 m long, and height difference 120 m. The ski centre has a Snow park and children’s slope.
The centre offers versatile cross country ski tracks and the Finnish skiing championships was arranged in the area 1993.
